DocuPacket Refund Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-16
1 Scope and general rule
This Refund Policy applies to DocuPacket subscriptions and separately purchased credits sold by Tiffany Paden, doing business as DocuPacket, through www.docupacket.com. It is part of our Terms of Use. Capitalized terms have the meanings given there.
Subscription charges and credit purchases are nonrefundable once charged, except for billing errors, the Service-closure circumstances below, or rights provided by applicable law. There is no discretionary grace period for an accidental renewal. This policy does not restrict remedies for unauthorized charges, failure to provide legally required cancellation rights, or other nonwaivable consumer protections.
2 Renewals and cancellation
Monthly subscriptions are billed upfront and automatically renew monthly. Annual subscriptions are billed upfront and automatically renew annually. Annual-plan credits are issued monthly throughout the paid year. Ordinary subscriptions do not include a free trial. If the FOUNDER coupon is available and accepted at checkout, it discounts the monthly Individual membership fee by 100% for the first two billing cycles. Coupon entry is required; it is not applied automatically. It does not discount additional credit purchases and is not available for annual memberships. A payment card and signed agreement are required. Billing cycles follow the calendar schedule shown at checkout, so two cycles do not necessarily equal 60 days. The subscription then renews automatically at the disclosed regular monthly price plus applicable tax unless cancelled before renewal. Review the coupon discount, billing dates and renewal amount before accepting. Availability is subject to the coupon settings and any redemption cap in effect; no place is reserved by viewing this page.
Cancel through your account or email admin@docupacket.com before the next renewal. No 30-day notice is required. An identifiable cancellation request received before renewal stops that renewal even if our response comes later. We will confirm cancellation and may reasonably verify account authority without unnecessary obstacles.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges; access continues until the end of the paid monthly or annual term unless you request earlier closure or the account is otherwise lawfully suspended or terminated. On an annual plan, monthly allocations continue through the paid year. Cancellation alone does not result in a refund for unused days or months. Export needed records before access ends, and request account deletion separately if desired.
3 Credits and expiration
Individual Plan subscription credits expire at the end of each monthly allocation period and do not roll over, including on an annual subscription. Subscription credits on rollover-eligible plans expire 12 months after original issuance. Separately purchased credits expire 12 months after purchase, including on the Individual Plan.
When subscription access ends, all remaining credits are forfeited, including purchased and rollover credits, even if their normal expiration would be later, except where law requires otherwise. Credits may be shared within the same Customer team account but cannot transfer outside that account. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.
Unused, expired, or forfeited credits do not qualify for a cash refund merely because they were not used. Applicable legal restrictions on expiration, forfeiture, or required redemption prevail over this policy.
4 When a packet uses credits
Before sending, DocuPacket displays the one credit the packet will consume, regardless of file or page count. Previously sent packets retain their recorded charge. Credits are deducted only when the first Recipient successfully selects Finish and submit after completing the document. That event finalizes the Recipient's response and returns it to the sender's account. A signature field is not required for this completion event to consume credits.
The charge occurs only once per packet. Additional Recipients do not consume additional credits. Sending a notification, opening a link, viewing a document, or downloading alone does not consume credits. A wrong email address, rejected message, spam filtering, or failure to respond does not consume a credit if no Recipient successfully submits. Once the first Recipient successfully submits, later noncompletion by other Recipients does not automatically reverse the charge.
If a system error causes an incorrect or duplicate credit deduction, we will restore the incorrectly deducted credits. Restoration corrects Service usage and does not ordinarily constitute a cash refund. An outage that prevents all successful submissions should not consume credits; report any incorrect deduction for correction. Nothing here limits a remedy otherwise required by law.
5 Billing errors and refund requests
Email admin@docupacket.com with the account email, charge date and amount, transaction or packet reference if available, and a short explanation. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or sensitive document contents. Report suspected errors promptly so we can investigate; this request does not shorten any statutory claim or payment-dispute deadline.
We will review the relevant billing and activity records. Confirmed duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges will be corrected or refunded as appropriate. Approved monetary refunds are ordinarily returned through the original payment method; if that is unavailable, we will arrange an appropriate alternative. Bank or payment-provider processing may affect when funds appear. We will communicate the outcome and available processing information.
6 Permanent closure and account termination
If DocuPacket permanently discontinues the Service, or we close your account for a reason other than your violation of applicable Terms, agreements, or policies, you are eligible for a prorated refund of unused prepaid subscription time. The calculation is the subscription fee paid for the current term multiplied by the unused portion of that term measured in days from loss of paid access, with associated taxes adjusted as applicable. We will not deduct previously used monthly credit allocations from that time-based calculation.
If we terminate your account for a violation, prepaid fees and remaining credits are nonrefundable except where required by law. A good-faith billing dispute or lawful exercise of consumer rights is not itself a violation. Unused purchased credits do not receive a separate contractual cash refund under the subscription-time calculation, but any legally required refund or redemption remains available, including where permanent discontinuation prevents delivery of prepaid services.
