WHY DOCUPACKET EXISTS
Docupacket began with an operational challenge: teams were paying for document sends that never became signed agreements. We set out to make credit usage transparent and give senders more control.
MEET THE FOUNDER

I created Docupacket after seeing how unsuccessful document sends could affect an operating budget.
My team could send a packet, discover that a customer’s email address was wrong, and lose what we had paid for the send. A packet could expire because of a setting on the software side that our team couldn’t control. We still had the work to do, and we had already spent the money.
When you’re purchasing 4,000–7,000 packets a month, those frustrations become a serious budget issue. In my experience, annual costs could exceed $100,000. It was hard to keep paying at that scale for outcomes we couldn’t control.
I wanted a different relationship between sending, signing, and spending. That became the starting point for Docupacket.
The volumes and costs above describe Tiffany’s prior experience. They are not Docupacket customer counts, capacity claims, or a promise of savings.
Docupacket displays a packet’s credit usage before you send it. Sending places those credits on hold. The held credits are consumed once at least one signer completes signing.
If nobody completes signing and the packet is voided or expires, the held credits return. That means an incorrect email address does not have to turn an unsigned packet into a wasted send: you can void it before anyone completes signing and prepare the corrected packet.
Returned credits keep their original expiration date; credits already past that date expire when returned. This policy concerns packet credits, not a refund of membership fees. One credit per packet. Unlimited files and pages on every plan. Upload limits: 20 MB per file and 100 MB per packet.
Public pricing and no automatic purchases of additional credits carry the same idea through the rest of the product: you should be able to see what you’re using and decide what you spend.

Additional credits are optional purchases. Docupacket does not automatically buy more when your balance runs low.
Encryption at rest and in transit, audit trails, and data retention controls support the document workflow.
We welcome questions about the product and feedback from the people using it in their day-to-day work.
